#2 Speech Pathology

Coming in at the second spot, Speech pathology is our #2 most searched NDIS Support of the year. This is another great result for Speech Pathology which took out the top spot in our Top 10 of 2016.

Speech pathologists may help you with difficulties speaking, listening, understanding language, reading, writing, social skills, stuttering and using your voice. The role of a Speech Pathologist is to work with people who have difficulty communicating for many reasons. These may include developmental delays, stroke, brain injuries, learning disability, intellectual disability, cerebral palsy, dementia and hearing loss, or other problems that can affect speech and language.  While not strictly about speech or communicating, because of their understanding of the throat and mouth, Speech Pathologists may also help people who experience difficulties swallowing to eat and drink safely.

Congratulations to all the speech pathologists in our community, you can take pride in offering one of the most in-demand supports of 2017.
