2. Personal Care and Support Workers
The National Disability Insurance Agency notes “Personal care supports relate to assistance with daily personal activities including assistance with, or supervision of, personal tasks of daily life.” Support workers assisting with personal care can support people with a wide range of life activities including mobility, basic first aid, personal hygiene, eating, attending appointments and more.
Finding support workers is becoming easier thanks to the growing number of agencies entering the space. Services like hireup, Better Caring, Inlife and My Care Jobs have all emerged as digital first platforms to help people connect with support workers, joining established providers like Drake and Inala in delivering these supports.
Great personal care and support workers can play a key role in enabling you to live your life and achieve your goals. They are a common part of NDIS plans and we bet we’ll see them again in future top 10s.
